Terms of use

1. Eligibility and agreement

The initial release is intended for users in Canada aged 13 and older. If you are below the age of majority in your province or territory, use the app only with a parent or guardian’s permission. By using GachaTime, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

For support or questions, contact jaren@siganistudios.com. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right, warranty, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Focus sessions and app limits

GachaTime helps structure focus sessions and breaks. It does not currently block other apps or measure their usage. You decide when and how to use it. Device settings, battery restrictions, operating-system behavior, and interruptions can affect timers and notifications.

The app does not guarantee a particular productivity result and is not intended for emergency use, safety-critical timing, or medical advice.

3. Spins, points, and break time

Completing an eligible focus session grants spins under that session’s rules. Outcomes are random; a particular reward is not guaranteed. Awarded spins must be used before starting the associated break.

Points and break-time rewards are in-app benefits with no cash value. They cannot be redeemed for money and do not represent a promise of real-world prizes. The current app does not offer paid spins or cash-out. Planned shop features may change, and existing points do not guarantee future shop currency.

Canceling focus grants no session reward. Ending a break early forfeits remaining time, and break time does not carry to a new session. Rules can differ by timer mode and may change in future versions. Ordinary leaderboard resets do not by themselves spend or reset your local points.

4. Optional rewarded ads

You can skip optional rewarded ads and take an eligible break after using your free spins. Additional rewards require confirmed completion of the ad requirement and successful saving. Closing an ad early, connection issues, or provider or storage errors may prevent a reward.

Ads are supplied by third parties; ad availability and content can vary. Watching an ad does not promise a particular spin outcome. Development builds may use simulated or Google test ads. GachaTime+ is not represented as removing optional rewarded-ad spins.

5. Accounts, local data, and leaderboard

Where accounts are available, provide accurate information and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. Core progress is stored on your device; authentication alone does not guarantee cloud backup or recovery.

Clearing app data, uninstalling, losing a device, or storage errors can remove local progress. Cloud backup is available only when expressly provided by the app. Signing out does not automatically delete local or server data.

Leaderboard participation is optional. Public names, scores, and ranks are provisional, and client-reported scores may be adjusted or removed for errors or abuse. Do not use a public name to publish personal information about yourself or others.

6. GachaTime+ and future purchases

Production purchases are not currently offered. GachaTime+ is planned as a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription. Test Store transactions in development are not production store purchases.

Before production billing is enabled, the purchase screen and updated terms will explain the actual price, applicable taxes, included benefits, restoration, and store refund process. Planned features are not current purchase benefits. The current development Plus benefits are dark theme and 8× reward-wheel speed; other roadmap items are not guaranteed.

No price, lifetime-service promise, or recurring payment commitment is created by these terms. You will have an opportunity to review the applicable offer before any real purchase.

7. Acceptable use and ownership

Use the app lawfully. Do not submit fraudulent scores, exploit reward or account systems, compromise credentials, interfere with service operation, harass other users, or attempt unauthorized access. We may restrict online access or remove leaderboard entries where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, or legal requirements.

App code, branding, and original content belong to their respective rights holders. You may use GachaTime for your personal use in accordance with these terms. This does not transfer ownership. Third-party software remains subject to its licenses, and these terms do not override rights granted by law or those licenses.

8. Privacy and deletion

The Privacy Policy explains local data, accounts, advertising providers, the leaderboard, and your choices. Optional processing requires any consent applicable to that processing; agreement to these terms does not replace it.

You can stop using the app at any time. To request deletion of an account and related server data, contact jaren@siganistudios.com; see the account-deletion instructions. Uninstalling alone does not delete server or third-party records.

9. Availability and responsibility

Features can differ between development and public releases. The app and online services may change, experience errors, or become unavailable. Planned features may not be released. Material changes to these terms will be communicated as required by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service or recovery of lost local progress. Nothing here excludes liability, statutory warranties, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any future changes affecting paid benefits must respect the purchase disclosures and applicable consumer rights.

10. Canadian users and disputes

These terms are subject to applicable Canadian federal law and the mandatory laws of your province or territory. They do not require you to give up access to a court or consumer protection available to you, agree to mandatory arbitration, or waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
